For my Advertising & Public Relations 516 course, I was tasked with developing a comprehensive press release for a company selected from an approved list. After reviewing the options, I chose Dr Pepper—a brand I’ve long admired—not only because of my affinity for its distinctive flavor and bold marketing style, but also because I was inspired by their latest product innovation: a new blackberry-flavored variant. This recent release sparked a creative idea that I felt would align well with Dr Pepper’s brand identity and offer a compelling opportunity for an engaging, strategic press campaign.
